It’s finally that time of year, the end of school. What better way to celebrate the end of 10 long months than to hit the beach and let the stress of the school year melt away. Not only can you leave your worries behind, you can also get a great base for your summer sun tan.

Since the summer is the off season for traveling to the Caribbean, there are many great deals that can be taken advantage of. Whether traveling with the family, with a few friends, or by yourself, you can find a resort that caters to your needs. There are family friendly resorts that provide plenty of entertainment for the kids including dune buggy rentals, after dinner shows, catamaran tours, and a wide range of water sports. Many resorts will have an endless amount of games that can be played on the beach including volleyball, soccer, bocce, shuffleboard, and ping pong. There are so many games that you can have an athletic decathlon with your family.

When traveling with friends, be sure to book a hotel that has a swim-up bar. This is an ideal location to get re-acquainted over a few daiquiris and pina colladas. If dancing suits your fancy, larger resorts offer on-site discos while smaller resorts offer shuttles to nearby night clubs.

If you are looking for a great deal, you can find vacations to Jamaica that are normally priced at nearly $2000 in the winter months for below $1000. A great choice is the Braco Village Hotel and Spa in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. This is also a great time to treat yourself to a vacation that would normally cost thousands of dollars, such as a Sandals or Breezes resort, but is listed much cheaper. After all, it was a long school year, you need a vacation.
