Get to an All Inclusive this Fall

Posted on: August 13th, 2014 by paul

With summer winding down its a great time to start planning a vacation for the fall season. After spending the last few months floating in the pool or playing in the lake by the cottage it would be a waste to let that tan fade away during Canada’s long winter. Why not book an all inclusive to the Caribbean in October or November to keep that summer glow?

What is the best place to travel?

For Canadians, the best deals can be found in the Caribbean. For those looking for good value and rock bottom prices, Cuba and the Dominican Republic have separated themselves from other Caribbean countries as low cost providers for all inclusive vacation packages. For example, it is easy to find packages for a week at a 4 or 5 star resort for less than $1000 including tax, flight, food, drinks, transfers, and entertainment at the resort. Keep in mind that the food in Cuba tends to be a lower quality than some other places down south but it has improved a lot in the past 10 years.

For travelers looking for a more luxurious experience, destinations such as Jamaica and Aruba offer higher end amenities for affordable prices that are slightly more expensive than Cuba or the Dominican Republic. For under $1500 the experience is quite similar to the 4 or 5 star resorts in other countries but with the addition of higher quality food and perhaps better beaches.

It’s important to check periodically for deals because prices can fluctuate on a daily basis based on availability.

When is Hurricane Season?

When planning a vacation for the fall season it is important to consider booking outside of hurricane season. Be sure to check the weather reports for any developing storms, especially when booking at the last minute. Hurricane season usually runs from June until November with the bulk of the activity in the early part of September.

Winter tends to be dreadfully long in Canada so be sure to book a vacation package to the Caribbean for a hassle free way to get out of the cold.
