When do I get my tickets?

After booking online or over the phone, your tickets will be emailed to you within 2-3 weeks before your vacation. If you are booking last minute, you will get your tickets within approximately 2 days of your trip.

Are airport transfers included?

For vacation packages, airport transfers are usually included.

Do I need a tourist visa?

If you need a tourist visa they are normally provided by the tour operator.

Is there an additional departure tax?

Yes, some countries require a departure tax. The Dominican Republic has a departure tax of $25 USD per person while Cuba has a departure tax of 25 Cuban Convertible Pesos. Some hotels in Las Vegas charge a resort fee of approximately $25 USD per night, per room which usually includes some small amenities such as wireless internet.

Are children free?

At some resorts, children under the age of 12 stay and eat free but are still required to pay their airfare.

Is there a fee for changing or cancelling my flight?

Depending on whether or not you purchased cancellation insurance, there are usually substantial fees associated with changing/cancelling a flight.

How much luggage can I bring?

The amount of luggage you can carry on at no additional charge varies between airlines and varies between domestic and international departures. Most domestic flights allow 1 checked bag weighing no more than 23 kg, a carry on with dimensions no larger than 23 x 40 x 51, and one personal item (laptop, purse, etc). It is important to check with your airline before the flight to ensure you don’t incur additional charges for overweight, oversized, or additional luggage.

What are the duty free limits in Canada?

Less than 24 hours  You may not bring any goods back into Canada. You may bring 1.0 Litre of wine, liquor or beer for personal consumption while in the U.S.

More than 24 Hours, less than 48 Hours – The limit has quadrupled from $50 to $200.

More than 48 Hours You may bring duty free goods worth up to $800. This has increased from $400 for the period of 2 days up to a week.

More than 7 Days This limit has increased from $750 to $800. This limit of $800 has been applied to applied to any period more than 48 hours.

IMPORTANT  When bringing alcohol or tobacco back into Canada, the items will not be tax exempt unless you have been outside Canada for more than 48 hours. (Note: age of majority restrictions apply)

I want to leave tomorrow, why isn’t the option isn’t available online?

Is it safe to book my vacation online?

Online travel booking for travel is safer and more secure than it has ever been. LastMinuteVacations.ca uses secure servers that prevent any unauthorized parties from retrieving your credit card information.

Which countries have the cheapest all inclusive vacation packages?

Cuba and the Dominican Republic normally offer the best priced vacation packages.

Is it possible to get a cot or crib?

Most hotels/resorts accommodate cribs for children. If you require a cot or crib, contact the hotel directly.

Is it possible to reserve a specific hotel room location?

Special requests for room locations can be made by directly contacting your hotel.

Is it possible to add nights to my hotel reservation?

You can add nights based on availability at the hotel.

What is a ‘single supplement’?

A ‘single supplement’ is a charge paid by a solo traveler to compensate a hotel for losses incurred because only one person is using the room. The charge for a single supplement on this tour is $300

Should I get travel insurance?

How much is insurance and what type of insurance do I need?

Insurance varies with age and type of coverage required.

Classic Medical – Medical coverage while you are on your trip (from the time you leave until the time you come back)

Cancellation and Interruption – If you get sick or a close family member passes away and you cannot travel, the price of your trip gets refunded (minus the cost of your insurance). Interruption means that if anything happens to a close family member while you are on your trip (ie. Death), your flight home is paid for and the remaining portion of your trip is refunded.

Are tips included?

In the Caribbean, tips are not usually included. Its recommended to tip bartenders, servers, chambermaids, and bell staff.

Most restaurants in Europe include tax and tip in the total price of the meal. However, we recommend to tip the following people: travel directors (4 Euro per person per day), drivers (2.5 Euro per person per day), local tour guides and experts (1 Euro per person per day), and bell boys/porters.

Do I need to bring formal dress attire?

We recommend packing at least one set of business casual attire to wear while dining.

What is the cost of a triple room?

Triple rooms are the same rate as rooms based on double occupancy. They are available upon request and only upon availability.

Can I bring my pet?
