Quick Facts

This airport is located 11 km southwest of Quebec City and is the second busiest passenger airport in the province of Quebec after the Montreal-Trudeau airport. YQB was formally known as the Aeroport de l’Ancienne Lorette, then the Aeroport de Sainte-Foy, and later the Aeroport de Quebec. To honour the former Premier of Quebec, Jean Lesage, YQB was renamed Jean Lesage International Airport in 1993. In 2010, the airport was voted ‘best airport in North America’ (with fewer than 2 million passengers) by the Airports Council International’s Airport Service Quality program. This airport has only one passenger terminal.

Coming From Charlesbourg:

• Driving: Take Autoroute 73 S. Take exit 148 for Autoroute 73 S/Autoroute 40 W toward Montreal/Pont Pierre-Laporte. Merge onto Autoroute 40 W/Autoroute 73 S. Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Autoroute 40 W/Montreal and merge onto Autoroute 40 W/Autoroute 73 S. Take exit 141 for QC-138 W/Boulevard Wildrid-Hamel W. Merge onto Boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel/QC-138 W and turn right onto Route de l’Aeroport. Follow airport signs.

Coming From Val-Belair:

• Driving: Take Autoroute Hanri-IV/Autoroute 573 S (signs for Pont Pierre-Laporte). Take exit 2 for QC-358 toward Avenue Chauveau/L’Ancienne Lorette. Turn right onto Boulevard Chauveau W/QC-358 W. Turn left onto Route l’Aeroport. Follow airport signs.
