Lihue is the second largest town on the island of Kaua’i, Hawaii. The town offers hotels and resorts and is surrounded by the island’s spectacular natural gifts. Getting There & Other Transportation

The Lihue Airport has many inter-island flights available daily. There are also flights to and from select places in North America.

Upon arrival to Lihue Airport, there are car rental services, taxis, hotel shuttles, courtesy buses and the Kauai County bus.

The airport is a mere 3 km from the center of Lihue, so whichever mode of transportation you use, you can be sure it will be inexpensive. For hotel shuttle services, be sure to check with your hotel to see if they provide complimentary transportation to and from the airport.

As far as nightlife goes, the island of Kauai is not known for its after dark partying. This rural island pretty well slows down once the sun goes down. If anything on the island is going on after dark, it’s probably happening in Lihue.
