Calgary International Airport is located roughly 18 km northeast of downtown and serves Calgary as well as surrounding areas in the province of Alberta. Serving as headquarters for WestJet and as a hub airport for Air Canada and Air Canada Jazz, YYC has non-stop flights to major cities in Canada, the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, the US, and East Asia. This airport is Canada’s 4th largest airport by passenger traffic and in 2008 was named one of Alberta’s Top Employers by Mediacorp Canada Inc. The Calgary International Airport has one three-level passenger terminal with 4 concourses (A, B, C, and D).

• Driving: Take AB-1/Trans-Canada Hwy ramp to Calgary. Merge onto Trans-Canada hwy/AB-1 E. Turn left onto the ramp to AB-2 N/Deerfoot trail/Red Deer. Merge onto AB-2 N. Follow airport signs.

Coming From Red Deer:

• Driving: Take AB-2 S. Take exit 266 for Airport Trail. Follow airport signs.

Coming From Medicine Hat:

• Take Trans-Canada Hwy/AB-1 W. Merge onto Deerfoot Trail/AB-2 N via ramp to Red Deer. Take exit 266 for Airport Trail E. Follow airport signs.
