Formally known as the Montreal-Dorval International Airport, YUL is located on the Island of Montreal, in Dorval, and 20km west of downtown Montreal. Trudeau Airport serves Canada’s second most populated city of 1.9 million with an estimated metropolitan area of nearly 3.9 million. It also serves as one of the main airports for upstate cities in Vermont and New York. Trudeau is the busiest airport in the province of Quebec, the third busiest airport in Canada by passenger traffic and fourth busiest by aircraft movements. There is one large two-level passenger terminal divided into four areas.

  • Driving: From Autofoute 720W, continue onto Autoroute 20W. Take exit 56 toward Autoroute 520 E/Avenue Dorval and follow airport signs.
Coming From Laval:
  • Public Transit: See ‘Useful Links’ below.
  • Driving: Take Autoroute 15 S to Montreal. Merge onto Autoroute 40 W (signs for Ottawa/Gatineau). Follow airport signs.
Coming From Brossard:
  • Public Transit: See ‘Useful Links’ below.
  • Driving: Take the Autoroute 10 W ramp to Pont Champlain/Montreal/Centre-Ville.
    From the 10 W, continue onto Autoroute 15 N/Autoroute 20W.
    From Autoroute 20 W, exit on Avenue Dorval and follow airport
Coming From Ottawa:
  • Driving: Take Hwy 417 E from Ottawa. Upon entering Quebec, continue on Autoroute 40 E. Take exit 41 toward Autoroute 20 and merge onto Boulevard des Anciens Combattants. Merge onto Autoroute 20 E and follow signs for airport.
