The Winnipeg International airport is Canada’s 8th busiest airport by passenger traffic. It is an important transportation hub for the province of Manitoba as it is the only international airport within the province. Isolated geographically and located just less than 9 km from downtown Winnipeg, YWG is the primary airport for a large area including the province of Manitoba and parts of neighboring provinces and territories (Saskatchewan, Northwestern Ontario, Nunavut as well as North Dakota and Minnesota in the USA. This airport has a new, state-of-the- art four-level passenger terminal.

• Driving: Take the Trans-Canada Hwy/MB-1 E for 202 km. Turn left onto Ferry Rd. Turn Right onto Ellice Rd. Follow airport signs.

Coming From Dryden:

• Driving: From Kings St./Hwy 594, turn left onto Government St/Trans-Canada Hwy/ON-17 W (120km). Turn left to stay on Trans-Canada Hwy/ON-17 W. Continue to follow Trans-Canada Hwy and enter Manitoba (190km). Turn right onto St. Anne’s Rd/Trans-Canada hwy/MB-1 W. Continue to follow Trans-Canada Hwy/MB-1 W/Rte 52 N. Turn left onto Broadway/Trans-Canada Hwy/MB-1 W. Turn left onto Portage Ave/Trans-Canada Hwy/MB-1 W/Rte 85 W. Take the Route 90 N exit toward the Airport. Follow airport signs.
