Last Minute Vacations To Saint Kitts
Quick Facts
Formally known as Saint Christopher Island, this island is in the West Indies with its west side bordering the Caribbean Sea and the eastern coast the Atlantic Ocean. The island is roughly 29 km long and 8 km wide. First spotted by Christopher Columbus in 1493 and later colonized by the British in 1623, this island was a valuable player in the sugar trade. Today, the island is home to intoxicating beauty, warm turquoise waters and varying colored sandy beaches. It has a ‘sister’ island called Nevis. Both have similar lush landscapes and untamed scenery.
