LMV Workout Series: 200m Interval Run

In week 3 of our workout series we are going to step up the intensity of the workouts a little bit. Last week, the interval run consisted of twenty 50 meter sprints leaving every thirty seconds. This week will be slightly more difficult because we are substituting the 50 meter run for a 200 meter run, changing the start time from thirty seconds to two minutes, and completing 10 sprints instead of 20.  (more…)

LMV Workout Series Week 2: Med-ball and Burpees

For today’s workout, the only piece of equipment you will need is a medicine ball. If possible, complete this workout with a partner. They will challenge you to push yourself. Also, the ‘medicine ball throws’ portion of the workout is best completed by alternating throws with a partner.  (more…)

Since you are on vacation to relax, why not have a workout that matches that mindset? Walking is the perfect solution for your vacation workout.

A lot of fitness gurus insist that to burn ‘x’ amount of calories we must exercise at a high intensity. Although we cannot argue with the fact that exercising at 60-80 percent of your maximum heart rate strengthens your heart and allows it to run more efficiently.
